Assembly Instructions:

  1. Set aside 168 5" Charm Squares for center of quilt.
    Set aside 52 5" Charm Squares for pieced border.
    Set aside 4 5" Charm Squares for corner blocks.
  2. Center of the quilt:
    Cut the 168 charm squares set aside for the center of the quilt into 4 1/2" squares.
    Assemble blocks 12 columns by 14 rows for the middle of the quilt.
    Center of quilt should measure 48 1/2" x 56 1/2".
  3. Pieced borders:
    Cut the 52 charm squares set aside for the pieced border into 2 1/2" x 5" rectangles.
    Sew 28 2 1/2" x 5" rectangles together in one strip as follows:

    Assemble blocks 12 columns by 14 rows for the middle of the quilt.
    Center of quilt should measure 48 1/2" x 56 1/2".

    Sew 24 2 1/2" x 5" rectangles together in one strip.
    Attach corner blocks to each side of border strip as follows:

    Repeat step above to make one more border strip
  4. Pin the pieced border strips to the top and bottom of the quilt. Match centers and ends and ease fullness
    as you pin the border strip. Sew each border strip and press away from the border.

Quilt & bind as desired.
