Heirloom Kansas City Star Block of the Month
Fat Quarter Shop Block of the Month Program
Traditional blocks are recreated with timeless style! The Kansas City Star newspaper, based in Kansas City, Missouri, published over 1,000 quilt patterns from 1928 to 1961. This block of the month program showcases some of these wonderful patterns. Each block has been perfectly recreated using easy piecing techniques.

The fabric collection featured is Sweet Pea by Kansas Troubles Quilters. Each block finishes at 12" and is a beginner to intermediate pieced block (no templates, applique or paper piecing).

Our block of the month finishes at 109.5" square and includes 20.25 yards of fabric and the pattern for all twelve blocks, sashing, borders and binding.

The program is from November 2013 to October 2014.
This club ships around the 15th of the month.

From November 2013 to August 2014, you will receive the pattern and over 21 yards of fabric to complete each month's block. In August 2014 you will receive the border and binding fabrics for finishing the quilt. The A Woodland Christmas Block of the Month includes the pattern as well as the fabric for the quilt top and binding. This quilt features the Vin du Jour collection, French General Favorites collection, Grunge Basics collection and Bella Solids. The finished size is 67" x 72". A button set is included. Embroidery floss and backing are not included.
