Cutting Instructions:

Red Chicken Coop:

• Cut 1 6 ½” square centering chickens
• Cut 1 15 ½” x 15 ½” square for backing

Red Chicken Scratch:

• Cut 4 2” x 2” squares
• Cut 2 2” x 12 ½” rectangles
• Cut 2 2” x 15 ½” rectangles

White Chicken Scratch:

• Cut 4 2” x 6 ½” rectangles
• Cut 4 2” x 2” squares

Black Chicken Scratch:

• Cut 4 2” x 9 ½” rectangles

Pillow Assembly Instructions:

1. Sew 2 2” x 6 ½” White Chicken Scratch rectangles to each side of the Red Chicken Coop 6 ½” square.
   Press toward the Red Chicken Coop print.
   
2. Sew 2 2” x 2” Red Chicken Scratch squares to each side of two 2” x 6 ½” White Chicken Scratch rectangles.
   Press toward the Red Chicken Scratch squares.
   
3. Sew rectangles from Step B to the top and bottom.
   Press toward the Red Chicken Coop print.
   
4. Sew 2 2” x 9 ½” Black Chicken Scratch rectangles to each side.
   Press toward the Black Chicken Scratch print.
   
5. Sew 2 2” x 2” White Chicken Scratch to each side of two 2” x 9 ½” Black Chicken Scratch rectangles.
   Press toward the Black Chicken Scratch print.
   
6. Sew rectangles from Step E to the top and bottom, as shown.
   Press toward the Black Chicken Scratch print.
   
7. Sew 2 2” x 12 ½” Red Chicken Scratch rectangles to each side.
   Press toward the Red Chicken Scratch print.
   
8. Sew 2 2” x 15 ½” Red Chicken Scratch rectangles to top and bottom.
   Press toward the Red Chicken Scratch print.
   
9. Place pillow front and back right sides together. Make sure Red Chicken Coop prints are facing the same direction. Sew pillow front and back together leaving the bottom seam open. Turn pillow right side out. Insert pillow and whip stitch bottom seam closed.
