Quilter's Patch Round Robin
The leader of our quilting group initiated a Round Robin that included part of the blocks in this book. Each participant made the greenhouse block in the middle 7 either supplied their own background fabric or allowed the other participants to select a background to add to the mix. The supplier of the greenhouse was also allowed to request brights / pastels for the blocks made by the other participants.
The greenhouses were passed to the other participants monthly for the addition of the next block.
It was an interesting experiment in expanding our skillsets and improving our accuracy! .
Love these blocks!!
I joined the Quilter's Patch BOM that began in January. I just finished the fifth month and am really enjoying these blocks. Yes, they are different and a bit advanced but it is good to stretch yourself. The instructions are clear and concise but you DO have to read them! :-) This is one of the few BOM projects that I have kept up with and anxiously wait for the next month to arrive. Thanks for the fun pattern!
Beautiful quilt... instructions need work!
Just finished my fourth block... and have had to do a lot of internet research to find better instructions for some of the blocks, like the flying geese.
I'm not a new quilter and love Edyta's designs, especially her appliqué, and I was SO excited to start this...
Luckily the kits have enough fabric that I could remake quite a few of the components because the techniques used in the book (especially the first few) require a lot of sewing triangles cut on the bias, or sewing tiny squares rather than strip sewing and cutting nine patches... and that's the tough way to get the same look as easier methods.
Again, beautifully stunning designs, but the instructions need work!
Its the Best method for growing a garden!
I just finished reading this beautiful book. I agree with Esther; using the flower blocks interchangeably will be an opportunity to build skills and creativity. Edyta has clear concise instructions and the photographs are stunning. Can't wait to get started!
I love this book! It is set up to be easy to read and follow direction! Great for a beginner or a experienced quilter to build a beautiful garden!
This book is chock full of great photography and clear block instructions. I love the flexibility to build my garden with my favorite flowers and I can definitely see adding flowers to many other projects in the future.
