Riley Blake Designs introduced their first line of fabric in 2009. Their goal was to design fabric that was colorful and fresh, with a broad appeal. Lori Holt, Minki Kim and Christopher Thompson of The Tattooed Quilter are just a few of the designers of Riley Blake fabric lines. Who Is Riley Blake?
Riley Blake Designs is a family-owned company with deep roots. The current owner, Bret Cloward, learned the trade from his father, who ran a successful chain of fabric stores for several decades.
Bret took over the business when his father passed away and, with the help of his wife, Cindy, and other family members, grew the company, branching out to include the cotton fabrics that soon found a place in quilters' hearts from coast-to-coast. The name Riley Blake comes from the owner's father, Blake, and his daughter, Riley.
