Quilting material is often precut into various sizes to speed up what many of us consider the most tedious part of quilting – cutting fabric. Riley Blake fabric bundles include multiple pieces of these precut sizes:

• Fat Quarter: Riley Blake fat quarters are 1/4 yard each. The fabric cutter starts with one yard of fabric and slices it in half, then cuts it in half again to form a large square that's approximately 18" x 21".
• Fat Eighth: The pieces will be about 9" x 21" in a fat eighth bundle. 
• Half Yard: Assuming your fabric is 44" wide, the finished size would be 18" x 44". While most cotton quilting fabrics are 44", other fabric widths may be 36", 54", 60", 72" or 108" wide.
• One Yard: One yard of material is 36" x the width of your fabric.
• Charm Pack: Looking for a Riley Blake charm pack? The size of each piece will be 5" x 5".
• Mini Charm Pack: 2.5" x 2.5"

Riley Blake Designs is a family-owned company with deep roots. The current owner, Bret Cloward, learned the trade from his father, who ran a successful chain of fabric stores for several decades.

Bret took over the business when his father passed away and, with the help of his wife, Cindy, and other family members, grew the company, branching out to include the cotton fabrics that soon found a place in quilters' hearts from coast-to-coast. The name Riley Blake comes from the owner's father, Blake, and his daughter, Riley.
