Per the manufacturer, months 1-4, 6-8, 11 and 12 all use traditional piecing methods. Months 5 and 10 (Twinkle & Dim and Mister Chill) are mostly pieced with some fusible applique for fireflies and snowflakes. Month 9 (Great Joy) is also mostly pieced with letters and snowflake made using fusible applique.
