Lori Holt 20" x 108" Sew-in Pellon Interfacing

I am making Lori Holt’s Mama’s Flower Garden quilt and after using the Pellon product for the Bloom sewalong, this interfacing is great to work with. It maybe alittle pricey, but well worth the money when preparing small pieces for applique. I love it and will definitely keep using it for all of my applique projects.

I used other interfacings and was so frustrated. I decided to give this one a try (why not??I had already invested good money on the fabric...) and I am so happy that I did! There is a substantial difference between regular interfacing and this product--so much thicker and much nicer to work with, which means my end product is so much BETTER! I am tickled with it. Totally! In fact, I am ordering more right now!

I have used both the Pellon product and Lori Holt's. When it comes to small, fiddly pieces, Lori's is the best. I wish I could post the pictures I took of 2 small circles I did using both products. The Pellon one came out looking more like an oval and the one I did using Lori's product came out just perfect and I didn't have to fiddle with it! It was a time saver and you know what they say, time is money. Also Lori's interfacing is 5 inches wider than the Pellon product. It may cost more, but you are also getting more. It's a winner!

I used the Pellon interfacing for the Bloom SAL, and decided to try this for the Sweetie Pie SAL. With Lori's product, it's so much easier to turn the shapes, and to get points to look nice. The Pellon rips very easily. I do wish Lori's product was cheaper. Maybe one day it will go on Flash Sale - FQS, are you listening? :)

I agree with MDA on the price of this interfacing. But I will say it does work much better than the thinner interfacing. Maybe they can work on the price.

Just because it has Lori Holt's name attached. The same size package of Pellon interfacing will cost a fraction of this price.
