Madison Square by Paula Barnes for Marcus Brothers Fabrics

Paula Barnes' latest collection recalls the popularity of the color pink in antique quilts of the 1800s. In the quilting collection, you will see the popular shade of the era was known as a "Double Pink," created with a darker shade of pink dyed over a lighter shade. This is combined with yellow, red, green, indigo and of course, brown, one of the earliest fabric colors used because readily-available roots were used to dye the fabric. As a result, pink and brown quilts evolved, and remain a timeless color combination to this day. The collection features Paula's signature floral wallpaper stripe and coordinates, blended with neutrals for added decorator appeal.
