inexpensive Review by Larina

I'm making this pattern right now. While cutting all the pieces I noticed that this pattern does not tell you how many strips to cut from your background fabric for you to subcut. You have to cut one strip, count how many pieces you get and then do some math to figure out the rest of the strips you'll need to cut. I guess that's why it is under $6? I also wish there were the instructions for using the triangle paper as per the youtube video. I bought the triangle paper and then forgot that I bought it specifically for this quilt and then cut all my fabric, went back to watch the video and remembered. I am using only 9 fat quarters and doing 2 of each fabric.

Clear, Easy to Follow Instructions Review by Emilie

This pattern has excellent, clear instructions.

I love a classic block with modern fabrics. I used Moda Bread & Butter. I was inspired by the Moda Frivol from a few years ago, and used this pattern to achieve a full-sized version.

Great instructions Review by Robin

I love the It's Sew Emma patterns, they're adorable and easy to follow. This Bear Paw quilt was fun to make (I, too, used Crazy for Red) and went together quickly when chain piecing.

However, at least for the twin size, twice as many fat quarters were called for, as needed. Each fat quarter is enough to cut out two bear paws, but does mean each paw will be duplicated else where in the quilt. So I still have enough fat quarters to stitch up another.
