DMC Embroidery Floss

DMC Light Effects has 6 different “Collections” within.

• Jewel effects – 14 jewel tones, two are variegated, metallic - 36% Metalized polyester / 64% Polyester
• Precious Metals – 6 Metal colors, metallic - 36% Metalized polyester / 64% Polyester
• Antique Effects – 5 “Neutral” colors (white, black, browns) , metallic - 36% Metalized polyester / 64% Polyester
• Pearlescent Effects - Pastel colors, look more iridescent than metallic - 64% Metalized polyester / 36% Polyester 
• Fluorescent Effects – 2 neon colors that do not glow in the dark, but are very vibrant. 100% polyester - Colorfast fade resistant
• Glow-in-the-Dark – Only one, 100% polyester, glows in the dark

All Metalized floss is colorfast and tarnish resistant.
DMC Etoile is different from Metalized DMC light effects in that it is 73% cotton / 27% polymide. Etoile has a more subtle twinkle. It is still a six strand floss and can be used to cross stitch.

DMC Coloris is inspired by different places or florals, coloris has 4 complementary colors that alternate approximately every 5cm or 5 to 7 stitches. 100% cotton. Colorfast, fade resistant, consistent colors from skein to skein.

DMC Color Variations is mostly tone on tone, and is meant to mimic hand dyed floss. The colors alternate every 5cm / 5 to 7 stitches. 100% cotton. Colorfast, fade resistant, consistent colors from skein to skein.

Color Variations has softer transitions with a more hand dyed look while Coloris has colors that are complimentary but not similar for more dramatic variegation.
