How Do You Separate Floss Thread to Cross Stitch?

Hold the cross stitch floss in one hand and separate the individual threads at the top with your other hand. Pull one thread out while gently holding on to the rest. Repeat this procedure so that you have two threads. Line up the two threads evenly, and you're ready to thread your needle and start sewing.
